Job Summary We are hiring again! We are looking for a second Economic Development Officer as a Paid Intern to join our team. Are you looking to kick-start your career in economic/community development, marketing, tourism, or event management? The Rainy River Future Development Corporation (RRFDC) has an one year internship opportunity for a recent university or college graduate, with potential for a second year extension. You will gain hands-on experience planning festivals and events, building our tourism market, and help plan and develop our economic future. The intern will work with community organizations and economic development projects across the region. They will write funding proposals and reports to senior government and municipalities, gaining valuable career-building skills. We will train you to utilize social media, manage marketing budgets and prepare promotional materials. We have an exciting year ahead, be a part of it!
Job Type / Category
This internship is 35 hours per week. Some weekend and evening work may be required to execute events. Typical work weeks are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
You must be a recent graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program (within the last three years) from an accredited college or university.. The position should be your first full-time employment in your field of study. (There is no age restriction on this position).
