The Teacher, under the direction of the Principal and Education Directors, will primarily be responsible for developing, planning and implementing curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programming for students. They will be required to create and use assessment practices to inform their instruction and evaluate student learning. The teacher will have strong classroom management skills and take a trauma-informed approach in their daily teaching practices. They will have an understanding of universal design for learning and create lessons and activities that engage students of all abilities in their classroom. They will also be comfortable taking their students outdoors. The teacher will be required to use the resources provided, with support from our outdoor education team, to create lessons that meet the expectations of the Lac Seul Education Outdoor Land-Based Learning curriculum.
